FUNDAMENTALS OF HAZARDOUS AREA CLASSIFICATION IN ELECTRICAL (BATCH#3)

OVERVIEW
Hazardous areas are the areas where there is or there may be explosive atmosphere that required special requirements at the time of construction, installation, and use of electrical appliances.

According to The Petroleum Rules, 1976 that an area is considered hazardous areas, if there are hydrocarbons with a flash point < 650C, or there is a concentration of inflammable vapors or gases at concentrations that could occur combustion. Additionally, deemed hazardous area if the processing, storage, and blending hydrocarbons or inflammable vapors or gases with a temperature equal to or above the temperature of the flash point.

OBJECTIVE

• Identify the hazards (hazards) potential, especially endangering human health and the environment
• Increasing labor competencies recognized according to HSE international standards in oil and gas
• Provide a new experience for the participants about the dangers of electricity, especially in explosive gas atmospheres according to international standards
• Participants are able to understand a process or operation on a system systematically, to then determine whether the irregularities may lead to incidents or accidents that are not desirable.
