POWER QUALITY; HARMONICS & VOLTAGE DIPS (BATCH#2)

OVERVIEW
The course will discuss various types of disturbance on power networks, including the concept of electromagnetic compatibility, the causes and effects of harmonics, voltage dip and fluctuations, flicker and the effects of variable speed drives, UPS and switched mode power supplies. Also, power quality measurements and how the results can be interpreted, as well as the kind of power quality mitigation and conditioning techniques that you can apply.

OBJECTIVE
This training aims to improve the knowledge, skills, and personal competence in supporting the activities of the management and operation of electrical assets of an industry, which is expected to contribute in ensuring and improving performance in achieving the target company.

   • Voltage unbalance and its impacts on motor

   • Harmonics and winding pitch of generator
