SUMMARY:FUNDAMENTALS OF HAZARDOUS AREA CLASSIFICATION IN ELECTRICAL (BATCH#3)
DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW\nHazardous areas are the areas where there is or there may be explosive atmosphere that required special requirements at the time of construction\, installation\, and use of electrical appliances. \nAccording to The Petroleum Rules\, 1976 that an area is considered hazardous areas\, if there are hydrocarbons with a flash point < 650C\, or there is a concentration of inflammable vapors or gases at concentrations that could occur combustion. Additionally\, deemed hazardous area if the processing\, storage\, and blending hydrocarbons or inflammable vapors or gases with a temperature equal to or above the temperature of the flash point. \nOBJECTIVE \n\nIdentify the hazards (hazards) potential\, especially endangering human health and the environment\nIncreasing labor competencies recognized according to HSE international standards in oil and gas\nProvide a new experience for the participants about the dangers of electricity\, especially in explosive gas atmospheres according to international standards\nParticipants are able to understand a process or operation on a system systematically\, to then determine whether the irregularities may lead to incidents or accidents that are not desirable.\n\nCONTENT \n\nHazards\, Risks and Control Measures\nZones and Properties of Flammable Materials\n\nGas Zones\, Grouping and Ratings\nExplosive Limits and Temperature\nClassifications\nEquipment Protection Levels\n\n\nHazardous Protection Requirements\n\nATEX Directive 94/9/EC\nATEX and CE markings\nExplosion Protection methods\nIngress Protection\nEquipment Certification and Labelling\n\n\nExplosion Protection by Enclosure Type\n\nFlameproof Enclosure Protection (Ex d)\nIncreased Safety Protection (Ex e)\n\n\nExplosion Protection by Other Methods\n\nIntrinsic Safety Protection (Ex i)\nPressurized Apparatus Protection (Ex p)\nNon‐incendive Protection (Ex n)\nOil Immersed Protection (Ex o)\nPowder Filled Protection (Ex q)\nEncapsulated Protection (Ex m)\n\n\nDesign\, Selection and Installation of Ex. Equipment\n\nGeneral Considerations\nIncreased Safety Equipment\nCable Glands\nInspection of Installations\n\n\n\n  \nCERTIFICATION \n\nCertificate of Attendance (Public Training)
